The Feed Yourself series is dedicated to individuals that cook just for their selves. This goes out to everyone that finds them self wanting to cook but dreading the time, effort, and all the clean up needed to just cook for one. It can honestly be a quick, easy, and enjoyable process!
Now, it’s time to cook your chicken and you have a few options for that:
– Grilled: this can be done on an indoor grill (like a George Foreman), an outdoor grill, or a pan grill. Prepare half a chicken breast as mentioned (make sure to pound it!). Preheat grilling surface. Place chicken on surface and if indoor electric grill then allow to cook for 7-9 minutes (until the juices run clear or an internal temperature of 165F). If on a pan grill or outdoor grill then flip after 3-4 minutes and cook 3-4 minutes more (until juices run clear and/or an internal temperature of 165F).
– Baked: prepare whole, strips, or diced chicken breast. Lay in oven safe container, cover with foil and bake at 350F for about 12 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 5 minutes. Until juices run clear and/or internal temperature of 165F.
– Sauteed: prepare sliced or diced chicken breast. Heat a little bit of oil (2 teaspoons – make sure to measure it out because it is easy to add a lot more), add the chicken and cook 7 minutes on medium-high heat stirring every minute or so.
– Chicken may also be prepared via boiling and boiling but those require more time and expertise so it’s not mentioned here.
